LILITH YU

welcome to my digital oasis!

I am an interaction designer and Human-Computer Interaction reseacher at the Actuated Experience Lab advised by Ken Nakagaki. I like to design and engineer interactive devices through digital fabrication and robotics. My overall goal as a designer and technologist is to create pleasant interactions that inspire creativity and connectedness in people’s daily lives.

Recently, I’ve been exploring actuated tangible user interfaces and prototyping these small, deployable swarm ceiling robots that control objects in the air to facilitate spatial interactions. I’m excited to present my full paper at the ACM CHI Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems (CHI ‘23) this April in Hamburg, Germany!

I study Mathematics and Media Arts & Design at the University of Chicago.
